The Fiat Panda Cross won also this year’s British 4×4 Magazine ‘4×4 of the Year 2019 awards. For the second year running, the Fiat Panda has passed all competitors in an ever growing sector to be crowned the Best Crossover. Judges praised it for its ‘rorty’ engine, traction finding ability and fun factor, never failing to put a smile on their faces.
Since 2004, Panda is the leader in Europe in its segment. And with 7.5 M units sold over the years, it has the biggest community base in its segment in Europe.
The 4×4 Magazine, the UK’s only dedicated 4×4 and pick-up magazine, 4×4 of the Year awards have been defining the segment for more than 25 years. A team of experienced 4×4 specialists assess the now broad spectrum of vehicles that make up this class, covering everything from comfort, quality, off-road performance, purchase and ownership costs.
This impressive win joins the Fiat Panda’s long list of accomplishments including being the first city car to feature 4WD technology, the first city car to climb to an altitude of 5,200m and reach the Everest base camp, as well as being the first natural gas fuelled city car to be produced on a large scale.
